Wanted Pedal Steel

Hi All,

I'm a newbie on here and am looking to buy my first Pedal Steel Guitar.
After years of playing with a lapsteel and a volume pedal, I have finally decided to take the plunge and fancy a new challenge.

Not sure the best Pedal Steel for a beginner but from reading around a lot of people
recommend the Stage One which has three floor pedals and four knees. I like the look of this but would be willing to consider anything else.

Ideally I would like to buy a guitar which I will not have to upgrade for quite some time, so maybe a student model steel would not be suitable.

Any advice on good models to go for would greatly appreciated, or if anybody has one for sale that they think would be suitable then please contact me.

My budget is ideally around £800

I have seen this on ebay, what do people think is it a decent Guitar? Reasonable price?

That looks like a Bennett "Freshman" to me ,,,as student guitars go its as good as any,,,, at a fair price

Your quite right John but there are the early ones with welded pullers (similar to the Carter Starter) and the later one with the moveable pullers and if I'm not mistaken the later ones have 4 knee levers. You might want to see pics of the underside.
