I have two on my pedal board so that I can switch between pre-sets.
Hardwire DL-8 and Boss DD3.
Not much difference between the pair to my ears, both fine for the settings I use.

Boss DD6 is the one i use...it has a cool effect on it called Warp which when you hold the pedal down it acts like a sustain pedal on a piano...sort of

The Boss stuff....DD3 etc seems quite well thought of!

Was also looking at the TC Flashback too (not the X4 though!)...perhaps will find something 2nd hand...

Oh...and what's this 'profex' that often gets a mention in dispatches??

I have one of these which cost over £200,may be a bit High end .I am selling for £110 plus postage.

The pofex You ask about is a rackmount guitar processor which was,and still is popular with Steel players,it can be programmed to give the settings of many of the famous steel players. They are no longer manufactured and usually can be got for £125-£175.
