Sho-Bud Pro S-10

Hi there folks. Newby poster here.

I owned a refurbished D-10 some years ago. For various reasons, I didn't get on with it and I ended up selling it on to a friend of mine. I'm now interested in trying to pick up playing from where I left off (from scratch), but this time want to go with a much more practical Steel (for a newby) in terms of both weight and functions (my old D-10 had 5 levers and weighed a ton).

I am a sucker for vintage, and my preference would be to go for a ShoBud Pro S-10, but the thing that concerns me is the condition of the mechanics on older models (clunky pedals/rods, etc). If I need not be concerned with this, maybe someone could correct me in this regard?

I'm not too sure how easy it will be to find a newly refurbished ShoBud (preferably in Green) here in the UK (I've seen that one has recently been listed and sold in the For Sale thread)..? If I could get some advice on some other newer/reasonably priced model's availability, that would be most appreciated?

Cheers for now;
Bryan

Hi Bryan,
I have a Magnum pro-select and I have no hesitation in recommending these guitars.
Mine is a single 10 on a double body, 5 levers, 3 pedals, VERY light and comes with an excellent hard case as standard (no it's not for sale :-)
I've tweaked mine so that it's almost mechanically silent without the need for bits of foam around the rods!
I could go on but IMHO it's a better bet than an un-refurbished vintage model.
Good luck,
Ian
