BAND IN A BOX

Postby Boru » Tue Nov 27, 2012 4:02 pm

Does anyone have a version of BIAB that would work ok on Windows 7 (64bt) ?
My version 11 which was ok on a previous PC is not compatible with a 64bt system,
so I guess it would need to be a later version.
Thanks

Hi Bob

I can't see why version 11 shouldn't work on Windows 7. I am awre of BIAB users who have had no issues even running version 9

You do however need to have Administrator priveleges. Have you tried running the program with XP compatibility settings? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... -windows-7

I'm sure that if you hit the PGmusic forums or a Google search you will find chapter & verse on any windows issues because one thing's for sure, you won't be the only person with this issue.

Unfortunatley I can't help with the specifics on Windows 7 as I run my BIAB under linux in a virtual Win XP :geek:
Best of luck

Hi Pete.

Many thanks for the info -and yes, I tried all that, but it just wouldn't do it.
I have now been fixed up with a later version that works a treat.
Just have to try and navigate all the features !!

Kind regards
Bob

And if you have any further problems don't hesitate to ask, there are many members using this programme, as for myself I;ve been using it since its inception in 1989 and have a good relationship with Peter Gannon (the MD of PG Music)
