Tray to clip on to steel's legs

Has anyone come across a flat tray that can be fastened to one (or more) of a steel's legs so that I put picks, bar and other necessities close to hand? I've seen a few trays on the web that attach to vertical tubes, such as a mic or music stand, but nothing that would suit a non-vertical tube. Any ideas?

The reason I need this is because I play an S10, and so have very little space on the top of the guitar to set things.

Hi Chris, I had a woodworker friend make up a wooden block with holes drilled to the size of my bars ( I was using the Dobro bar at the time as well as my steel bar) You can get a piece then recessed for your picks, attach a plumbers pipe clip of the relevant size. Problem solved. If you can find a block of Balsa wood will cut down on the weight. Drill the holes just far enough into the block so the bar sits about halfway down to make it easy to remove.
If that doesn't suit look at Thomann UK Cyberstore website. They have an amazing range of gadgets for attaching things to things.

A Threat warning has come up on that site twice. Just tried it again. Seems ok now. You're right Les they are a bit pricey. I'm sure some of our geniuses could come up with an equivelant product much cheaper.

That's given me food for thought, John. Might try and rustle something up myself.

I made one from a small section of aluminium ladder, yes it was ugly and crude but it worked and would support my laptop. You just past the legs through it and the splay of the legs stopped it falling down, but then I aquired a bracket for a Peterson tuner ( not the Stroboclip... the larger one before) and with a little bit of aluminium made the tray I now use to support my Itouch.... a much neater job.

John - this was my crude effort  a while ago http://www.thebritishsteeliessociety.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=2417&p=9533&hilit=+pipe+clip*+#p9533 but I like your idea better - using the splay to hold the thing up is neat! Tony ;)
