Hi Folks,
I am considering using a peavey "red stripe" bandit amp for steel and electric guitar. Not definite yet but just wondered if anyone here has one they might consider selling. Thanks for looking.

Hi John,
Sorry to hear of your experience with the bandit. However my learning curve was different. The trouble with all loudspeakers is that they have a central " on axis " sound coming from the voice coil.It is a very intense high frequency component of the speaker output and is extremely loud and uncomfortable to you and the audience. It also travels several hundred metres if allowed !!!!
I learnt of an amazing piece of kit called a deeflexx which you place in front of your amp and it disperses that on axis sound and you get the true sound of the amp wherever you are ,either on stage or in the audience. I will NEVER play without taking mine along now.Along with my impedance buffer it is the most important piece of kit I use. Here is a typical link to one of these devices ............PLEASE DELETE IF CONTRAVENING THE ADMIN RULES .
Regards Dave
