I'm after a good volume pedal, but not entirely sure of what type to get. It seems either a Goodrich or a Hilton would be good, so if anyone has either one of those for sale, please let me know.

Hi Chris, re; not sure what type to get? well for one, it depends on your budget, and secondly, if thats not an issue, we recently had this very discussion, on different pedals, a few swear by the electronic pedals, hilton and telonics, and certain Goodrich pedals i think, but at least half still swear by the much cheaper pot pedals, Goodrich being the most popular pot pedals, but my own preference, the Ernie ball 'pot' pedal has a good fanbase, not sure where that recent thread is, but it would be worth your while finding it, to hear the many different viewpoints, and good luck with your search

Thanks for the advice, Eddie and John. I think I'll go for a Goodrich as soon as I can afford it. I have a standard Jim Dunlop pedal at the moment, but it sits too high for comfort.

I went to the local music shop on Friday and they tried to sell/order me an Ernie Ball (not in stock), but it seems it has jack sockets on the front of the pedal, which would be no good.

If I decide to go for a Goodrich, I assume I have to order it from the US?

Chris, contact Gerry Hogan (Hogan Music Newbury) , he stocks Hilton and Goodrich and quite often has used pedals, you will get first class service from Gerry and Barbara.
