LEGS - mine are too long and too short!

So it turns out the legs on my Sho-Bud Pro 3 are possibly a bit longer than 'normal', whereas the legs attached to my own personal torso are somewhat shorter than the average! This makes it a bit tricky for me to correctly plant my heels on the ground and simultaneously operate the knee levers...

Would anyone be interested in a swap of my set of [pedal steel] legs for some slightly shorter ones? Mine are 22 1/2" from the contacting face at the threaded [guitar] end to the bottom of the locking ferrule.

Thanks for looking!

Here is your answer Sid, get in touch with Gary Sill,https://www.sillmusicsupply.com/New-Steel-Guitar-Legs-Sockets-And-Leg-Bags_c_1044.html tell him you want two legs for the front of your Pro3 (make sure you get the measurement right) then when you get them cut down the inners on your back legs by 1 inch and whoop -de -doo... Gary is a good guy to deal with. mention my name and he will charge you extra :) :?

I lowered my ZB by nearly an inch simply by removing the rubber feet on the front legs and adjusting the inners so that the pedal bar was just skimming the floor.

Good idea Richard! I'll give that a try as a first (and free!) shot. An extra inch or so may just be enough. Failing that I could always put a plank under the guitar to effectively raise the floor up to my level

Don't forget Simon you will need to shorten the pedal rods aswell.

Very good point! I have found a colleague with the necessary machinery in his workshop who can take an inch off the leg length, but actually for now I have used Richard's suggestion of trimming the rubber feet on the front legs, which brings the whole guitar a bit lower to the floor (about 3/4" I reckon) and doesn't affect the distance between cranks and pedals. I'm going to see how I get on over the next couple of weeks. It also doesn't help that my seat is clearly set up for someone taller than I am, and annoyingly the legs are not adjustable. That may also be another little job to get done 'at some point in the future'...!
Thanks all for your helpful advice - I am running out of excuses for my sloppy playing
