Believe these kits are available from Ken Fox, although he is no longer doing repairs he is still supplying kits.Had Ken's kits in my Profex ( Chips plus Battery mod)and 112, as said before subtle change. If you want more of a change, do as Tommy White did, change out speaker ( Eminence or Telonics neo, also reduces weight) and a different reverb unit, item about this can be found on US Forum, he seems to rate these changes highly.

Slightly off topic, but is it possible to fit a suitable, lighter in weight speaker, to a Peavey session 500 amp?

Has anyone carried out this mod?

Fit a Telonics speaker it's half the weight of a Black Widow. I did with my Steel King, Beeeautiful.

Eminence, Telonics and Sica, neo speakers all work well, sound every bit as good ( or better) in my opinion, but doubtless others may have a different view, as Donny said half the weight of BW. Eminence are available in U.K. From various dealers, Telonics is available from Mark Dunn, and Sica is available from Hot Rox Nottingham.

David P

Mike Johnson put an Eminence EPS15 in his Peavey LTD amp, and it sounds as sweet as anything. Likewise Tommy White put an EPS12 in his NV112 and loves what it gives him. I never liked the Peavey Session 500, and the weight was a killer. A neo speaker would make a huge difference to the weight.

Blue Arran in Southampton sell Eminence speakers and will order an EPS15 for you. If you join their JAM Club, you will get a bit o discount. :D
