Depending on cost of shipping you're probably looking at another £350 or so on top for import duty plus whatever the carrier charges for its handling fee.
You get charged VAT on the postage as well as on the item itself.

By the way, I know Moe as well - haven't seen him for years though. He used to have a Fender 400 I believe? He tracked down Joaquin Murphy in the States a few years back and spent some time with him. Great bass player too. Say Hi to him for me will you?
