Michael take Roy's advice for 650 WOW! even I would buy it,if its a Sheffield its been built to a high standard and you cannot go wrong, jump on it quick.

A Sheffield, although home grown, is a seriously well-built guitar. I live close to its manufacturer, Dave Wheelhouse, and I know just how much time, effort and money goes into the construction of one of his guitars. I think that the Sheffield is the best pedal steel guitar made outside of the USA. However, I don't know how much longer Dave will continue production, as its very much a labour of love. £650 is massively under that guitar's true value. It's worth over £1700 IMHO.

You may be right Brad. Dave always used square cross shafts, but on reflection I don't think that Jimmy Kerr ever made an SD10 Springfield.

Yeah my post was quite conflicting.

A friend of mine is 100% sure that the guitar in question is a Springfield, that was apparently butchered by one of our brethren a few years back. He turned it into an SD10 from a D10 and said that it's now an abortion. I don't know how true or accurate his comment is.
