Replacing a pot on a Goodrich volume pedal

I have a Goodrich volume pedal which sounds 'scratchy' as I bring the volume in from silence. It sounds like a dodgy pot. Is there a way to clean the existing pot or would it be better to buy a replacement?

If I need to get a replacement, Is it possible to buy one in the UK or do I need to order one from the US?

Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.

I read this thread with great interest as it looks like I'll have to replace the pot in my ZB pedal when we return
in March as it is scratchy like Chris described !

I ran through several pots (pec, claristat ) over a short period, one only lasted two months, then got a Dunlop pot from Tom Bradshaw, so far has lasted two years.Only problem is soldering wires to terminal , pure b****r , better if you solder wires before fitting to pedal, excellent pots .Believe pots from Gerry Hogan are now better quality supposed to last one million turns.

This is getting to be a habit, agreeing with you Malcolm, but yes, I bought one from Gerry at Ireland 2010. Its a cracker.

The Dunlop HotPotz is a very robust and durable pot - it just has the wrong taper unfortunately, although Tom Bradshaw would disagree with me on that point.
