The performance of the Shubb will depend on the height of the strings over the neck . Those capo's work fine for me on OMI Dobro's with a standard set up ( if ever there was such a thing ! ) However many more modern reso's and 'upgraded' Dobro's will have a higher nut and bridge height. In this case the strings will be pulled down towards the neck when fitting the capo and the tone of open strings will suffer as they are pulling upwards away from the capo against the rubber sleeve.
You may have noticed that the brass bar on the Capo is reversible and one setting is higher than the other. If you have already tried this you may be able to add some extra material under the brass bar to raise it so it fits snugly under the strings . Hope this is of use to you.
Having said all that i did have one modern reso that was never happy with any make of capo I tried fitting.
