Scotish Pound ?, English ( and Taffy ) pound ? if you want real value or lack of it ,invest in the Euro, got to be
the most over priced currency in the universe ! We have the equivelent of haggis over here, they're called
politicians !
So, how went the festive season with you lot ? we played on Xmas Eve, half way through the first set I was called off
stage to go out and pull this jeep out of a ditch on the main road as the driver, who was pissed out of his box had
either fell asleep or just could'nt take the bend, crashed into the barrier and demolished two directional arrows and
ended up nearly on his side in the ditch, he was on his way to Acharavi at the top of the island and insisted he
carried on when I got him out , don't know if he made it , could only happen here !
Ah well, got the flue pipe to rod and clean now, the joys of a wood burning stove so all the best to you all !

Dave, my mate Dougie Stevenson plays for Syd, so have arranged for Syd to call by your house next time he is in area and provide you with a personal concert, thought this would make an excellent belated Christmas present. The fee will be very reasonable, and should keep us in haggis (if it is the hunting season) and black pudding for a few weeks. My Daughter used to own a restaurant in Usk but had to give up as the local Taffies wouldn't buy enough haggis and black pudding.Seasons Greetings from Sunny Scotland. ;) :guitar:

Mal, I know Dougie played for Syd (the poor bugger has never been the same since, Douggie that is)
Regarding him coming here? sorry mate but Ill be out. The last time I heard Syd sing was exactly that! 'the last time'
Hes a bit like Runrigg, 'an aquired taste'

Your nipper and Usk? yep! we have loads of your lot coming down here trying to get fat of us, but we are too smart to fall for that we know you dont spend. The only time we close the pubs here is when Scotland rugger team come down (always to get stuffed) just aint worth em staying open, most of your lot bring their own booze down in plastic bottles :D

Mal have a great New Year (or 'hog???? wash' whatever you lot call it :D)

regards from a very wet windy (pretty in the summer) Wales
Dave.

Dave, my mate Dougie Stevenson plays steel for Syd, so I have arranged for Syd to call by your house for a personal concert next time he is in the area, I know you will be totally overjoyed at this belated Christmas present. The fee will be reasonable, and should keep Syd and the boys in haggis and black pudding for a few weeks. My daughter used to own a restaurant in Usk down there in Taffy Land, but eventually gave it up due lack of takers for haggis and black pudding by the local population.Seasons greetings from sunny Scotland.Malcolm ;) :guitar:

Oops entered twice, thought first one hadn't gone, too much haggis and black pudding(truth be known. I actually hate both of them).Dave watch out for Dougie in May touring with Billy Jo Spears/Lena Martell ,and the plastic bottles are so we don't damage the locals, when once refilled, they get chucked from the coach windows. My daughter said she thinks she remembers you being ejected from her Italian restaurant, complaining about not selling seaweed bread. You certainly have strange ideas about bread, ours are made from flour.Your friend Quasimodo the hunchback of Beith (King of the slipped disc)

Mal-
Black pudding??? many years ago I stayed in Kirkintiloch at Billy Riddles home (he was the drummer at the time with Jolene and Part Two) His missus used to serve me breakfast- eggs, black pudding, suasage meat and some kind of currant filled bread, washed down with loads of 'Irn Brew' That was nearly 30 years ago, it still rates as the best brekkie I have ever had. Couldnt afford to eat the rest of the day, (Biggar agent Drew Taylor was not famed for overpaying the band) but! it was no problem, I knew I could survive until the next morning. Ha! happy happy days.

Dave.

Dave, it is called fruit pudding.I remember Billy.Dougies wife Lati worked for Drew Taylor, it was probably her who arranged all your tours, they stay in Lenzie beside Kirkintilloch, Dougie is using my 400 just now as his is in for repair.Have a great new year.Regards Malcolm
