Can't help with the schubb but i do have a squareneck reso capo hanging around here doing nothing. It's a Mike Taverner handmade one. It works fine on modern reso square necks with real frets...... which quite often the schubb doesnt ...( string height is often lower on a real Dobro and more suited to the Schubb capo in my experience ).

Anyway if you're interested PM me and i'll give you all the details...£20 + postage .

Is this what you want? If so, got one (obviously!) and don't use it. Tony.
PS;- Dave, is that Mike Tavener in up here in York?

Yes Tony I bought the capo from him around 2 years ago. I don't know him personally but i can vouch for the good quality of the capo he makes.

It worked fine on my 'modern' resonator guitar but alas not on the 'real' Dobro.

Dave: I know Mike - local musos - but didn't know he made "stuff" for dobro. He tends to watch the USA forum, not this one. We haven't talked in a while, think I'll give him a ring soon and catch up. Regards, Tone.

This is the Mike Tavener Reso capo. It's well made. The cam rotates upwards to add pressure under the strings. Comes with a leather pouch and a bar that you attach behind the capo to rest on the strings though i never seemed to need this.

Tony...If Phil doesn't buy your Shubb capo let me know how much you want and i'll get back to you. I could use a spare Shubb capo here.
