If there aren't any going second hand out there, I'll be looking at buying something new in a month or two when I've had time to save up a little more.
I'm not selling any weiss's i'm afraid, but I've heard the Anderwoods being played by Sam Green and Willie Edwards from Willie & the Bandits. Nice sounding guitars especially for the price! I can't remember what Willie played but I believe Sam used an AW series with the LR Baggs M1 pickup on it. It sounded mint.
I've been thinking about getting one of their guitars as a cheap slide for taking out about, going camping etc. I wanted to keep my £1000+ Gosden Guitars kona-style slide in good condition!
I bought a hardcase off of Anderwood for the above guitar. I called them and spoke to (I believe) there main guy re: measurements etc. He went and measured one of their cases right away and emailed me immediately on a weekend.
Hope this helps, I'd be really interested to hear if you purchase one mate, what you go for and what you think. Please PM me.
Awesome: thanks for the reply, Chris. It really does help.
Looks like I will be going for the Anderwood later in the year. Considering the Teardrop at the mo, but if I can stretch to an AW series with pickup, that'd be my top choice.
Sounds like you had a good experience with them, which is exactly what I'd expect looking at their website blurb etc.
I'll be sure to inform you if/as/when I've taken the plunge! Brett.
