Hi everyone,
Just sounding out here,
I've got a lovey original 1950's case for my Fender 400, all beautiful dovetail joints and tweed (got to promote Scottish produce).
However, it's a little on the bulky side of things, and I am becoming increasingly concerned as to the longevity of the hinges.
As I'm beginning to gig a bit more regularly, and my main mode of transport to gigs/sessions is via a sack trolley and charitable bus drivers, I feel more adequate protection is needed.
Can anyone recommend an alternative case, or a case building firm that won't break the bank?

ABS cases are great. Really nice guys to deal with and very reasonably priced. Ask to speak to Les.
They made me a case for my double neck Danelectro guitar and my quad Stringmaster.
For your 400, it might be worth thinking about a hard case for the body and a holdall or something for the legs and pedalboard to keep down the size and weight.
