I am looking for a source of parts, I wish to add a LKL and LKR, but using the correct parts. Any Idea of where I could buy such parts please ?.

Basil, yes you could try Mr Cass, but I believe he has been a tad unwell of late.

Nearer to home you could not do any better than Bob Adams, Bob makes some stunning parts, exact replicas of the real thing.

Bob knows the workings of the old push pull system like the back of his hand.

By the way are these levers a poor substitute for the vice grips

Appreciate your endorsement Willie! But there is a requirement often for (genuine parts) and I get that and don't have a problem with it at all. Regardless of whether you replicate a part to exacting standard it remains aftermarket.

I sold a beautiful P/P last year and prior one potential buyer said no thanks I'll wait until I can find the genuine article, mm! I will be seeing that again next month as the guy is looking for some tuition. I would buy that back anytime!!.. Anyway...Trouble is these parts are becoming increasingly difficult to source and the latter will be the only option for change or upgrade at some stage. Ron Lashley and I had an exchange over the fretboards I produced but that was when Emmons was still in business; although no longer supplying the steel boards. In any event I will not be mass producing anything, it's just not worth it! A point on levers, if they are required to be black, the last ones I had done cost me £50 and I waited till the guy had a run of black to do, it would have been prohibitive otherwise. Not all things can be knocked up for 2/6..... But hey, thank you again!

You could try Lynn Stafford at Steel Guitar West. Import costs could be high.

I get my stock Emmons parts from Billy Knowles. Innovative parts like double puller bell cranks, clip on round bell cranks and different stuff like that I get from Clem Schmitz. Clem sometimes advertises his parts on eBay. Lynn Stafford is a good ol' boy too.

Now that Emmons (Lashley Jnr.) is sadly no longer a going business concern, I don't know where folks like Michael Yahl, Clem and others stand with making replacement parts. Michael has always steered clear of doing Emmons parts as they would regularly threaten legal action. Double standards from a company who couldn't even honour their orders. I would love to buy that company and have Billy Knowles and Clem Schmitz involved in production. Clem has some brilliant ideas. :D

I have but four Emmons P/pull bell cranks that I spose I could be talked out of and some collers ...no levers or shafts...
