quick tip I heard is to use the brass ball ends from a set of guitar strings. might be ok? never tried it myself...
I have a set for 10 string pedal steel here, but they need some work. could find dimensions etc if you want?

Peter, I can supply you with gauged rollers on a nut that is drawn to your preference. I need accurate drawings and preferably also a clear photograph of what you need.
