Steel guitar items wanted

Does anyone know where in UK 500 j type potentiometers or Dunlop 470 hot potz to fit Goodrich pedals are available? Checked all suppliers that I can think of but no one has any. Tried Promenade Music who are Goodrich agents but they tell me they have never stocked them, surprised at that as these pots have a high failure rate.( Dunlops last much better) Tried emailing Goodrich direct, they did not answer, but on checking web site saw that they do not have any in stock, which surprises me, the question is what are they fitting in their new stock?
Any suggestions welcome.

That’s strange Malc, we used to buy these with out too much trouble, Gerry H to used to keep them in stock also Scotty used to send me a batch when the business was going and I sold them through the newsletter, there must be somewhere or someone the still flogs them!

Roy, I need one to replace scratchy one in one of Archies pedals so I can sell it for family. I gave up on pots ages ago because of poor quality ones that were only lasting months, have used a Hilton for last five years with no problems.

Hi Malcolm,
Try Gerry Hogan for the pot, he used to sell them. or
contact Bill Ferguson in the US. He is now the main dealer for the Goodrich pots.
He sent me one recently and it comes with the string, as a package.
Best regards Jim.

Jim, believe Gerry’s site is down, possibly not well enough to keep it running

will get Mitchell Smithey to bring one over for me when he does Dublin Show.

Thanks William, Jon confirmed that it fitted the Goodrich, albeit shaft is a bit long and has to be cut.

Just to clarify, I had to cut down the Hot Potz shaft for a ZB pedal, it would be fine for a Goodrich or Sho-Bud.
