Selling up - clear out

Postby Jim Pritchard » Thu Jul 19, 2018 9:42 pm

Hi everyone,

It's a sad day when you have to call an end to some of the things that you enjoy doing best. I've had to make the big decision to cut back & cut down on many activities, due mainly to health & other personal reasons. :(

I have therefore decided to sell up, in the first instsnce, most of my steel related goodies, so, no more refurbishing or making pedal or lap steels, hence the reason some items are brand new. I have started to make up a list of items for sale, which i'm offering to BSS members first, before advertising elsewhere. Hopefully, something for the player as well as the builders. P/P not included, unless stated, UK only.

Happy to answer any questions, and more photos if needed. Photos have some extra info.
Please comment here or phone for a chat, Mbl. 07779851569.

More photos.....

Note for Bob Adams :- The 'Denley' pickups were made for Gordon Huntley, by the late Len Dixon, who was the senior elecrical/weapons tech and lecturer at Boscome Down, along with my late father, who was also involved with military tech.equipment. Len had them wound at work, then took those bits home and finished them off at his home workshop. The two I am selling were designed for my late father, who made several lap and console steels & was a lap player, they never got used, and have been put away for all these years.

Hi Jim, Sorry you have reached that turning point, I guess it will come to all of us, at least hang on to your steel and amp for as long as you can, people that sell those treasured assets very soon live to regret it and it happens time after time remember a steel that is paid for eats nothing and is nicer to look at than a few pictures of the Queen.
Re.workshop a small tap&Die set would interest me when you get around to it.
my Best to you, John

Machine heads .... SOLD. :)

JD. thanks for your comments my friend, I am not giving up or selling up completely, as I still have a few gigs left this year before the band splits.
The last thing I would do is sell the steel & amp, there's still life in these old bones  .
Anyway, where would I be without my music, it's been my life, and I will go on. :guitar: ;)
