Black box, old model with added vari-Z

I have two Black boxes and don't need both... this one for sale is the older model that I have added the vari-Z control to. I purchased parts from Brad Sarno and did the mod with his help and instructions. Works perfectly. I'm looking to get £120 for this one. Oh, and it runs on 110V but included is an adapter for voltage on this side of the big pond. Furthermore you would need to change to a UK plug, the one that goes into the wall, I can include one but not fitted.

Also throwing in a Sylvania tube that I couldn't find till now, NOS-12AU7-JAN-SYL Sylvania JAN-CHS 12AU7, value 30 USD. Gives a little different flavour than the original one that is standard in the BB.

I struggle to see the modern fad for "connoiseur" vacuum tube shopping. When I learned my electronics a 12AU7 was a 12AU7, didn't matter who built it. They were all interchangeable. Same with ECC83, EF91, 12AX7, 6V6. Now look at where we are....

I'm far too ignorant on this matter to argue with you Will. This specific tube was one that Brad Sarno pointed me too and it did give me a little different sound from the Black box, not a big change though.
