Fender Twin 66 F/W Telonics speakers
Posted: Thu Aug 21, 2014 6:51 amI have a Fender twin, its a bit special as although its only about 6 years old it was built for me to the circuit of the 1966 model as I believe they were the best sounding twins ever made. It is "Hot Wired" (no printed circuit board in this baby! ) and its in a genuine Fender cab. It has the latest Telonics Neo speakers fitted, those alone cost in the region of £400 quid hence the asking price of £950.
The reason I had this made was, Much as I love the early twins, the components being nearly 50 years old have to wear out sometime and the snap crackle & pop that they now produce was more than I wanted but most agree that the pre master volume twins produced the better sound. The amp is lighter than the average twin because of the Neo speakers and it has a fan fitted to cool the bottles .... this amp will make your six string sing as well as your steel..... come and try it ......
