A guy named Oscar Barker is selling a Emmons SD10 Legrande by a curious classified ad on a french website.
The guitar is really attractive and I would like to buy it.
But I don't know if it is not a swindle...

Do you know him and may I trust him?

My advice would be go and see the guy ...... for most players the purchase of a steel is a big investment so, go look at it!...... if its not there there may be a genuine reason but you don`t part with your cash until you get it so ...no problem .
But better still, buy that beautiful Emmons P/Pull that Bob is selling on here.... that ones real enough

I lived in Manchester until 7 years ago, and there are not many steelies around that area to my knowledge, i do know Withington, it is only about 3 miles from Chorlton, where Alan Cook lives, if your looking in Alan? maybe you could help? i cant say i have ever heard of Oscar Barker, but that doesnt mean he is not genuine, Manchester is a big city, i know Alan was selling an emmons a couple of years ago, could it be the same one, i dunno? hopefully Alan, being local, can help here? i would be a little puzzled as to why it was being advertised on a french classified ads site though? most mancs would use 'loot' free ads or ebay, be careful with your money Patrick,

Patrick I would suggest You contact the seller and ask for a telephone number(landline if possible) and also ask if He will aggree to an inspection at His address.
Be very careful.

I have live round hear for 20+ years and know most musicians. Never heard of Oscar or his Emmons. I am away for a couple of weeks I could check it out when I get back on the 24th.
