Nashville 1000/112 Pre-amp

Postby SHAKEY » Tue Oct 30, 2012 4:08 pm

I bought this direct from Peavey earlier this year and housed it in this case which includes the power supply and a brand new triple spring long delay reverb tank (not long springs.) I used it once at a rehersal into a Mos-Fet power amp and once with my Digitech RP155 into a Peavey stereo power amp, as you would expect it sounded great. I have not connected the master volume control as power amps already have them and it's pointless having two. I have no use for it now so if anyone is interested, I'll take £120+P&P.

Could this be used going straight into a channel on the mixer?

Acerod, Ive never tried it but I see no reason why it shouldn't work if you turn the chanel gain down. It would be a preamp going into a preamp but I suppose that is no different to an effects unit going into a preamp. I think someone like Mark Dunn could give you a better idea than me. Cheers Dave.

If anyone wants to make me a realistic offer for the preamp, go ahead, it will be +£10 postage, also I have a brand new Digitech RP155 for sale at £50 + £6 p&p. This has never been used just tested to make sure it works.

I'm just a bit dubious about this Dave as it doesn't look like a Nashville? How come there's only one out on the rear panel?

The reason it only has one output is because I only wanted to use it into a power amp, other connections (in/out) are taken from the actual power stage of a Nashville 112/1000. I have a schematic for the preamp and power amp.

For the benefit of anyone in doubt as to the validity of this preamp, here are some pictures.

I don't doubt that it is genuine but I hope you appreciate my caution as living in Ireland as I do I don't have the luxury of being able to see the goods or try them out before I part with cash which leaves me very vulnerable. If I was sure that it would work for me through the P.A. I would be very interested in it. I'll try and contact Mark tomorrow and get back to you. Ok?
