Today I received these pictures!

Anybody ever seen this or know of its origin???

Though Heath Robinson I am told it is in working order!

The present owner is moving with his family to Singapore and can't take it with him!

Your thoughts!

Bob I think its the latest Franklin, the model name is 'The firewood' Im sure Ken would buy it to add to his collection, you could try JD or better still wait until Frankie gets here and tell him its his ZB after you have renovated it.
Hey!! just a thought, 'it aint my Le Grand is it' ?????

We've discussed this thing before, but without the benefit of such a terrific picture. That is the "Practical Wireless" design of (about) 1967/8, almost exactly as the magazine article intended, cabinet and all! This one has four pedals and the original design (I'm sure) had two, but allowed for builder "improvements"!!! Like the two "extra" strings mentioned in the letter.
Could be worth a pound or two; I reckon it'll burn for much longer than a banjo!

Mr Nutt - my budget wouldn't stretch to the value of that behemoth.

The ½" string spacing is a little too wide even for me.

Come off it Ken, dont try that old salesmans chestnut- ''beat the item down verbally and the price will drop accordingly'' you know you want it, I can just imagine you on a gig sitting at that gleaming beauty,or better still-turning up at a studio for a session, so! go on cancell the Shopro and get yourself that gorgous Creasote lacquer'd Practical Radio Mark1.
(Grab it before JD does) ;) ;) ;)
Dave.
