Fender 400

Does anybody own one, or have experience of using them, l love al Perkins and sneaky Pete’s early work

These old cable guitars have a very unique sound. Listen to Ralph Mooney's early recordings with Merle Haggard, especially Red Simpson's LPs
on Capitol Records. Tom Brumley played one for a long time. If you are planning on buying one, I would recommend a Fender 800, (10 string)

There is a Fender 400 on eBay UK at the moment. No afiliation and no idea whether it's any good or priced fairly.

Yeah cheers chaps, I’d like the one on eBay with 9 pedals, I think they are tuned to B6, but I’m put off by the price, I’ve read that tuning stability can be problematic on a 60 year old fender and that cabling is also an issue!
