Emmons S10 DB 1966 Rare Guitar

From today the first of August 2025 I am offering for sale my Road guitar that is in my humble opinion the best Emmons in the world, I believe it to be a 1966 Emmons Bolt on mechanism with the wooden neck In green, double body with pad It comes in an American Forces flight case that was used to house the minehound detection device for improvised explosives the case is lockable, Temperature controlled Waterproof and is wheeled It is the military grade of the Peli Flight case these are extremely hard to find and ridiculously expensive.
I offer it now as I am fast approaching my 80th year after 50 years of trying to play the thing and I don't really want to leave the job to Bob or to my daughter Beck when I leave the planet.

sure here are some, the quick release on the pedal bar though beautifly done is a more modern modification as at that time most steels came with a hole through lower tubefor fixing.

A pal of mine had an identical one, and it was called an Emmons 'Loafer' He bought it from Eddie Juke who I think got it from the steel mill run by Eric Snowball. I thought his was a 70s built guitar. I think all wood neck lacquer Emmons were 'bolt-ons'. His, I understand, was unfortunately destroyed in a house fire, but I think Eddie kept a record of the serial no. I''ve let Eddie know that this guitar is for sale, although he is not a member.

The more I look at this steel the more I am sure it is a 70s bolt on. My reasoning is the smaller pedal size, the later black knee levers, the tuners and the fact that my pal Phil had one pretty identical to this. It was also a green lacquer wood neck. His was definitely 1975 at least. He bought it from Eddie who had it from new and he has the catalogue. It would be interesting to know the serial no of this guitar. His was 135 ST. Emmons evidently did make some bolt-ons around 1975 and all wood neck lacquer Emmons were bolt-ons.

As previously stated this guitar has had an updated pedal board with quick release, That may account for the different pedals I recently owned one of the Reissue early 70s bolt ons I sold it To a guy in BiggleswadeWho still has it and it was nothing like this Good luck trying to make any sense out of early Emmon's serial numbers, This one is marked DST to denote Double body single 10
