Bill Johnson's Emmons D 10 Push Pull

Greetings everybody, This is my first post here, I found out about this Forum from Tim Mercer (Steelguitartim) on Youtube and a gentleman here in Canada named Bent Romnes, who is a steel builder. I have been playing pedal steel for 12 years now, and have owned 3 Sho Bud's, 4 Emmons' , 1 ZB Custom and 1 home built from Fessenden parts

I would like to sell a 1977 Emmons D10 push pull guitar with 10 pedals and 10 knee levers, which belonged to Bill Johnson, who played with Marty Robbins from 1965 - 1975. He also played and recorded with Stonewall Jackson and Faron Young as well as many others throughout his long career. He was a true pioneer of this fantastic instrument who never received the recognition he truely deserved. I purchased this guitar from Bill Johnson's son in Dallas.

Due to unforseen circumstances, I now need to sell this lovely instrument to fund the purchase of a new vehicle.

I am asking $5000 dollars US which is close to what I paid for this instrument. I will entertain offers of course.
As I work for Air Canada, I am willing to hand deliver this guitar to the following European airports for a minimal fee,
London Heathrow, Paris De Gaulle, and Frankfurt, where we can conclude the deal.
This will save a European buyer lots of money in taxes and import duties.

I have additional photos and I will answer all your questions as best I can.

Take a good hard look at this guitar. When I saw the still immaculate, shiny aluminum on it, I was amazed at how well preserved this Emmons really is after 33 years.
The fact that it was played by none other than Bill Johnson counts for a lot. Bill must have taken pride in his guitar. I have been a fan of his ever since I discovered him on youtube , backing Marty Robbins.
If I had any way of justifying this investment, the guitar wouldn't even have made it to these pages. Fact is, I am busy getting my shop set up and fully mechanized for more steel building.

What is the hole on the back side of the E9 changer for?

Hi Joerg, Sorry I just saw this, I haven't been on here for a few days. I will try and figure out a way to post the setup today. I've never done that before. The hole behind the E9 changer looks like It was used for a split adjustment screw. The hole is threaded.

Hello everybody, It's back to school time again, I've lowered the price on this guitar as I need to raise cash. 4000 US Dollars - 2500 Pounds - 3100 Euros as of todays exchange rate. Looking forward to seeing this particular guitar. It's absolutely loaded. Looks like Pentads, but no 5 way switch, so are probably part No. 106B, 108N, or 110M ?
The tone control bypass switch will need sorting out..

This guitar is loaded with every pedal change imaginable, actually too many for me!
10 pedals and 10 knees. It has a Day setup for E9, as far as the first three pedals go. E's raise and lower with the left knee. String 2 and string 9 lower are also on the left kee towards the front of the guitar. The RKR lowers string 6 a whole tone and RKL raises string 1 a whole tone, after that I'm kind of lost as to how I can use the other changes. In all there are 5 knee levers for the left leg E9, 3 knee levers for the left leg C6, and 2 knee levers for the right leg E9 and C6. This guitar was built by Ron Lashley senior for Bill Johnson.

Hard to tell exactly what the Pickups are !
