WARNING

Postby SHAKEY » Tue Apr 02, 2019 8:09 am

It is said,"There is no fool like an old fool," well I guess that's me. I decided to advertise my steel on Gumtree on Saturday and within 10 minutes I had a reply, the guy wanted to come over straight away but then said he would have to leave it 'til Sunday 11 am. in the meantime I had another inquiry and I told him if the other guy didn't turn up I would contact him. The first guy hadn't appeared by 1 pm, (some excuse about being in hospital) so I got in touch with the other guy who apparently worked on an oil rig, everything was going fine, shipping documents etc., anyway to cut a long story short I fell for the oldest tick in the book, this guy was a master conman and screwed me for £400. So if you decide to advertise your steel or anything for that matter on Gumtree don't make the same mistake as me. Now I have to sell my steel for next to nothing to repay my wife her holiday money. Dave.

I’m really sorry to hear that Dave.
Unfortunately there are a lot of :censored: out there and they destroy our faith in the good people.

It’s a very nasty feeling, being had over. We were had for the deposit on a flat once, but Luckily this :censored: became too greedy and ended up in Court. I still remember that horrible sinking feeling when you realise what’s happened!
Hope this arse gets greedy too......it’s a much nicer feeling when you hear the Klunk of the handcuffs :D
All the best, Stuart...
StanSteel and the world passes by........

Sorry to hear that, Dave.
I don't know how we get round this kind of dishonesty.
Be thankful it wasn't £2K or more...
