Illuminated fretboards - custom built.

Postby RichT » Thu Jan 15, 2015 5:51 pm

Hi folks,
If you sometimes have a problem seeing your fretboard onstage or at home, then you might be interested in my illuminated fretboards.

They can be fitted in seconds and don't require any mods to your guitar, because they sit on top of your guitar's original fretboard.

Although they are custom-built specifically for your guitar, a typical price is only 110 UK Pounds excluding shipping (from Scotland).

They are available in a range of colours, and the cable can either be at the front or at the rear of the fretboard.

If you are interested then please visit my website, where you can obtain a quotation.

The website is http://www.live-edge-fretboards.co.uk

Best regards,
Richard.

Hi Malcolm and Donny.
Thanks for your endorsements - much appreciated!

A few folk have asked if I could display the fretboards at the forthcoming show in Dallas but unfortunately, due to a family health issue, I won't manage as originally planned.

However, some of the guys on the forum might be interested to know that, in addition to the custom-built fretboard, I now offer 2 Standard-sized illuminated fretboards: one for 10-string and the other for 12-string guitars.
This has allowed me to reduce the price, and there's a further significant reduction (20 UK pounds) by placing an order before 5th April and using the Code that's shown in the latest excellent edition of the British Steelies Society newsletter.

There's also the chance to win a custom-built fretboard by liking and sharing my Facebook page before 5th April (the facebook link is on my website too).
The updated website has all the details. http://www.live-edge-fretboards.co.uk

Thanks for your interest and support.
Cheers for now!
Richard.

Noel, due to lack of support Richard no longer produces them. It is a shame, they were a great product at a very good price, but alas not enough takers to have the business carry on. :(

Noel, I have one of Richard’s boards and have tried the MSA one at the The Dallas show. Both are excellent, but different formats, and very different prices. Richard’s was transparent using your own neck for markings, the MSA Lfret looks like a replacement complete fretboard, If you have an MSA guitar the whole neck can be fitted at factory. Think Richard is still on our forum, you could try a pm to him, he may still have a couple left. He is an absolute gentleman to deal with, and a very talented inventor.
