Fender 400 6 pedal c 1962(?)

Hi Guys
I have a Fender 400, 6 pedal steel for sale. circa 1962...(I'm sure Basil will be able to nail the date) It's in white, a refinish, the al'mag frame is in white, done by Ron Bennett years ago (great job) It's set for A6. It's a 23" scale. It needs fettling on two of the pulls, it's not a buy it and play it guitar, it does need setting up....though everything functions and all the electrics work, as do the tuners. It's missing the top bridge cover. Even if you want a fab 8 string lap steel,,,,,,this would do it. It has that great fender sound (Big Jim Murphy, asleep at the wheel, used one). There is no case with it.....Hence the price £495 ovno. A certain Mr Davis has access to a case that would be perfect for it......
Also, I have another 8 string pickup, similar to the one on this the steel, for sale. £50.......p.s. one of the control knobs is missing....whoops...

This is a mid 1963 transitional model.. it has the old chrome pre 1963 pedals and some of the pre 1963 cables.. but the body, changer and pickup are 1963 -> the first year that scale length,changer and pickup were introduced.
