Can any body help me please. I play a Rains single 10 ,and I have a problem
when I bar at the 12th fret .I t seems like the strings are wacked out just on that fret.
Every where else is a clear sustained notes .Any ideas please. It sounds like you would
get fret buzz on a regular 6 string guitar. Cheers Derek.

I don't have an answer but I can suggest that due to the 12th fret being the halfway point on the string it can often cause problems with unwanted overtones. Make sure You are muting the strings with Your left hand behind the bar.
I am sure I heard that Lloyd Green avoids playing at the 12th fret !
Best regards

I think it's quite normal Derek, the 12th fret doesn't seem to sustain as well as any others.
Got to be an octave thing.

Make sure your fingers behind the bar are dampening the strings, otherwise you will get strange overtones from behind the bar.
Also, apply a little more pressure to the bar
