there is a sho-bud on eBay , a lot of bids but if you look closely it's a left handed steel that's been converted to a right handed one , but the front apron with shobud logo is now the back apron, maybe people are not aware of this.

yes I saw that, the legs look crap

I don't think it's been converted to right-hand, looking at the position of the knee levers, and the pedal cross-shafts.
The guy has unwittingly put the pedal bar on the back legs, which makes it look like a RH conversion at first glance

you only have to look at where the sho-bud logo is to know that is a lefty.

Very easy to put back to a right hander and the original steel would have had a wrack and barrel pull system because it has an old wrap around neck I had one in the seventies. Could be a real nice steel.

What I'm saying is that it was built as a lefty, and it's still a lefty, it's obvious from the position of the pedal cross-shafts and the knee levers, no attempt has been made to convert it to a right-handed steel, it's just had a more modern undercarriage fitted

yes your right , my point is the seller is giving the impression that it is a right hander at first glance and would be easy for someone not well informed that they were bidding on a right handed steel, also it would be a big job to make it work as a right handed steel...

Are you sure it would have had a rack and barrel undercarriage?
I thought the Maverick used a very simple pull-release changer, with an even simpler pull-train
