I note there's a bit of discussion going on on the US Forum about the merits of SIT strings, with Live Steel Strings getting lots of positive review in comparison with SITs - well, here's the science(!)
I tried a set of Live Steel strings and, for the cost, found them no better that SITs to my relatively good ear (but poor to average steel playing) - until the 5th string broke!.
So, I didn't think Stainless steel SITs could be improved upon. Then, possibly by accident, John and Becky sent me some nickel SITs instead of stainless steels. I thought what the heck, I'll give em a go. On my old Sho-Bud, these sound great - and have lasted really well, too. They've been on 2 months, have been played every day, have stayed bright, hold tuning well and, for the money, can't be bettered. I'm converted to nickel SITs and will stick with them (even when that D10 Williams I keep dreaming of arrives).
Great service, too!

Hi Robbo. You just pm John with your order, he posts them to you with an invoice, and you send him a cheque! Couldn't be simpler or easier. Great service too.
