The first model : " Custom " looks like a Magnatone to me
why i'd bet a a couple of pints, that it is one

Machines look like Fender style ashtrays, did Magnatone do those too?

The "Custom" is one of the non pedal range of "Custom Guitars" made by Lawrence McIver (with a little help from myself) in Bristol in the early '60's. There were also "Custom" Pedal steels based loosely on the Gibson EH-610..That I owned at the time. The one in the picture was modelled a little on the Fender Stringmaster Twin that I also had then. Also available with "Photo Electric pickups"..In 1963-64

The Selmer Lap Steel is PRE-WAR approx 1938-9
Superb pickups on those old war horses..
