Anyone interested

I have this twin 11 Sierra which was made for Danny Shields who you probably know was a master pickup builder and the "S" in MSA, sadly now deceased. This is a really lovely guitar to play, well the E9 is, I know sod all about C6 but it plays like the E9 it is one hell of a guitar. Why am I getting rid of it? Well on a couple of occasions, 3 in fact, I have wanted to have a go at C6 but I just can't hack it, so I want to get an S12 which is what I am most comfortable with. £1500 ovno + s/h, but would prefer collection. (More pics if required.) This is the e-mail I got from Tom Baker at Sierra.

Hi Dave,

You have yourself a one-of-a-kind-guitar. This guitar was Danny Shields Personal guitar. The first silk-screened fret-boards, first two-tone, and only Dbl. 11 that Sierra made ( to my knowledge )
Your guitar was built in 1984'
Danny Shields was the " S " in ( MSA ) and he also designed all of the Sierra pickups for several years until he died.
Congratulations !! Nice AXE !!

Hope this is of some help.

Sincerely,

Tom.

Very nice instrument Dave. Well worth what you are asking. 11 strings are useful for the bottom E on E9 and both the high G and D on C6. Normally it is one or another.

Hi Ken, Yes that is how it is tuned, exactly as you say. I haven't a clue how the pedals are set up for C6, like I say I just can't hack it. It is a lovely instrument, in fact wasted on me. Dave.

Wow, what a sweet guitar, I've been interested in getting a Sierra for ages, and as you say, this one is unusual. And keyless too, I really like that feature. What's the tone like? Now all I need is that inheritance from my Dad....

Derick, It is a beautiful guitar and has 8 pedals and 5 knee levers, C6 is standard setup and E9 at the moment is Day set up but this guitar is so easy to change, it will take me about 20 minutes to change it to Emmons setup. I will say to anyone interested, this guitar is quite heavy but no moreso than an Emmons push-pull or an old Sho-Bud Pro.
Cheers Dave.
