Looking for a band (MIDLANDS)

Postby LWhittemore » Tue Aug 20, 2013 8:52 am

Hi All,

I'm fairly new to the steel and the forum, I've played a few gigs with a friends band 'The Most Ugly Child' (Check them out) Whilst their fiddle player is away.
So I've gained a bit of confidence playing pedal steel, I'm looking for more work particularly within the Nottinghamshire area if possible but I am willing to travel a little bit if it's worth while.
I'm into playing the Americana, Trad country - JTE, TVZ, Gram, Hank Williams, George Jones to name a few, Also the alt stuff, Hayes Carll, Ryan Adams, Andrew Combs.

If you'd either be interested in starting something new or looking for that extra bit within your current set up, Get in touch.
Not that age is a factor but if it does, i'm 24 years old. Also play Guitar so can swap around if needs be.

Thanks,
Luke

Cheers John,

Getting on well with the steel you sold me! Still after getting a few lessons somewhere but I seem to be picking up bits here and there!

Hi Luke, we're looking for a steel player in the West Midlands,is that too far for you? The approach is twofold, a professional showband playing '70's country (Waylon, Cash, Emmylou, Merle etc.) and recording/gigs with original Americana material.

Please get in touch at [email protected] if you are interested.

Many thanks, Ben.
