Pedal Steelie Wanted
Posted: Mon Jan 16, 2012 9:54 amHi, I'm new on here, and I am a UK theatre show producer / promoter and musician, I am a bass player.
We have a very successful Motown show which has been touring the UK theatre circuit for the last 10 years.
However, I personally would like to produce a new country theatre show which would encompass music from the classic's of yesteryear through to the modern Americana country music of today.
I already have contacts for most band members, but we are really struggling to find a good Pedal Steel Guitarist.
As stated, this is a project at this stage, but there is a fair bit of interest from the theatre's, and it is envisaged that we could be touring by the end of the year. I know that sounds a long time away, but these venues do book that far in advance.
We are based in the North East of the UK, but the gig would entail travelling to just about anywhere, so it could be hard work, but will most definitely be fun and enjoyable.
Is there anybody out there who thinks they could fit the bill, age is of no concern, but the ability to get on with people is, and to not be afraid of putting in some effort.
