Our Man In The Field feat. Henry Senior

We don't get to see too many high quality steel players in Cardiff, so it was a real pleasure to watch and listen to Henry Senior playing with a London band called Our Man In The Field last night in the Tiny Rebel bar.

Henry played pedal steel and dobro on some beautiful songs and helped to create the wistful and atmospheric soundscape underpinning Alex Ellis's superb voice. The steel playing was tasteful and complemented the material perfectly, a lesson on what to play and when to lay off. And Henry was getting a fantastic tone from his keyless GFI Ultra through a Roland Cube.

If you get a chance to see the band live, I'd highly recommend it. The band is playing at the Green Note in Camden on 20 February 2020.
