Hello There, Men and Women of Steel
I've been neglecting my updates. I've become a Father… What can i say except that i'm delighted but very tired….
Nevertheless, I'll be playing my steel guitar as best as i can at the following:
Mary Jean Lewis and The Low Men are at Bar Gumbo on Byres Road, Glasgow this friday 22/11 - 2 sets from 8.30 - free entry!
Blackfriars this sunday 24/11 - 2 sets from 9 - free entry!
Saturday 7th December Woodend Bowling Club, Jordanhill not free!
Saturday 14th December - MJ's Diner, Wishaw - not free!
friday January 3rd - Clutha, Glasgow - 2 sets from 9pm
It'd be great to see any of you, at any of them!
I'm also playing in St Nicholas' Church in Edinburgh on New Years Day for an unlikely ensemble of Glasgow and Edinburgh musicians…. I'll post something more definitive about this later for your perusal and consideration….
Hope to make it again to the scottish steelies meetings - hope you chaps are doing well!
V. Best
Tim

If anyone is interested in being not hungover and spending new years day in Edinburgh - this may be of interest:
Edinburgh-based art collective FOUND will tap into the contemplative resonance and exquisite acoustics of Old St Paul’s Church. Experience a candle-lit musical performance which treats sound and silence as equals. Get lost in a languorous and dreamlike place in the company of some of our most enigmatic musicians.
http://www.edinburghshogmanay.org/events/scot-landsI'll also be in Blackfriars on December 29th with Mary Jean Lewis and again at MJ's Diner on the 18th January
Have a Cool Yule, Folks!
