That's a ZB Student model, and they cost £350 in the early 70's.

Great little guitars, and one of the many that passed through my hands had the best ZB tone I ever heard. It isn't an ex Gordon Huntly guitar, but almost certainly it is an ex-Eric Snowball guitar.

This Guitar Belonged to the late Bill Collins and is being sold by his Daughter Caroline, Bill inherited Gordons D10 with the instruction to donate it to a museum when Bill had had enough of playing it, this they did and it can now be seen at the Hornyman museum in London the Little ZB student model with 3plus 2 was the last of Bill's guitars.

Great info guys.

Saw the bit about the museum and thought it might have some relation.

I’m a little confused.
I always thought Gordon’s D10 was with either FrankIe Bloomfield or Bob Adams, or are we talking about a different guitar?

Good shout there Steven, but .. 'hing in there' the boys will always know! (JD & DN)

Mr Nutt has it right .......... the blue 'Mathews Southern Comfort' top of the pops guitar is here!

It has been refinished upper (back to its original state) and under and is a now class machine for the foreseeable future.

Note the DNA is in the maple.. when stripped the wood showed the 'mark of the masters hand' .............if in doubt look at the B&W photo at Eric's shop.

I have a screenshot of the Top of the Pops session somewhere ............. I'll find it eventually!!

How’s about that then? we live and learn, I was never aware of a ‘sort of brown one’ Living and gigging in Kent In the 70s/80s and knowing Gordon reasonably well I only remember the Blue D10. How many ZBs did he have
Bit of news to know that one resides in a museum, how did that come about?
Cheers Bob,

I am surprised Frank let it go Bob , is he getting it back? He had the Woodstock solo about nailed on it as I remember.
I went to two top of the pops sessions with Gordon, one for Barbara Dixon and one For Ray Stevens "Misty" Great times...
