One of Gordon's instruments?

Hi everyone,
I recently bought an old Fender Dual Professional double 8 string lap steel (the one with the trapezoid pickups). After I had bought it, the seller mentioned that he had been told it used to belong to Gordon Huntley although he had no proof of that. I had to take it in to get the electrics sorted out and while it was in bits, I asked my repair guy to look under the tuner pans to see if there was a date there. Unfortunately there wasn't, but there was the name "Gordon" written in the cavity.
I wondered if anyone remembered Gordon playing it in the early days. It is walnut finish and the Fender logo is missing with some damage to the finish on the front where possible something else was stuck to the front (There are pictures of him in another thread of him playing a blonde Triple 8 Custom with his name on the front).
One other distinguishing mark is that on the very beaten up tweed case, there is stencilled "Peace Valley Ramblers" which may well pre-date Gordon's ownership if it was indeed his at one time. I'd also be interested if anyone has heard of them.
Of course, he is most well known for playing his ZB pedal models but was he known to collect lap steels as well? This one has definitely been well gigged by someone.
If anyone can shed any light on this, I'd be fascinated.

The guy to talk to about Gordon's guitars would be John Davis, he is about on this Forum. If he don't know nobody would !
