It's really good to see all these younger players lately keeping our beloved instrument alive.
This young lady from Tennessee is certainly putting a lot of seat time in learning this killer of an instrument and only 13. Watch this space in a few years time.

A great age to be playing the steel. By the time she's 16 she will be really good.

I see on the American forum that Tommy White has passed some nice comments on Sharon's playing and also offers of advice for her. Now that can't be bad. I hope they know who Tommy is and how a great player the man is.

Hi Roy, Thank you so much for being a great mentor for Sharon and helping us motivate her. She's so happy to see your email this morning, As a mother pushing her to use a backtrack sometimes don't really get in to her. But hearing that from you makes a big difference. small correction she not yet 13 years , she will be this year though ^_^ . I will keep you posted on her development. Thank you so much, Grace Frances

Thank you guys for your comment in regards with my daughter, She's only 12 years old turning 13. Her Dad taught Sharon how to play the basic. We are so amaze how She pick up things so easy, But still being a kid the focus is all over the place he he he he. With the help of Roy motivating her, She started to focus more and more. I always let her see all your comments to make her realize how important to have kids like her to playing this instrument. Again, appreciate all your feedback, Happy New Year. Regards, Grace Frances

Fantastic
You must be very proud of your wee lassie, Grace. She sits right in with the backing track, beautifully. Great timing and intonation, and barefoot, too
It really is a pleasure seeing someone so young making great headway on the pedal steel, so thanks for posting these. Why, I even love the shirt
Keep up the good work, Sharon
