Young Owen Mac from Ireland

Postby Ken Byng » Wed May 03, 2017 1:53 pm

I was sent a link to this clip from Dave Beaty of Telonics fame. Dave was intrigued not just by the quality of the young man's vocal ability, but also by the tasteful steel playing. Hopefully one of the guys on here from Ireland can shed some light on who the steel player might be. :D

Thanks Jim - I will advise Dave Beaty.

Richard Nelson impresses me every time I hear him play. ;)

What a great wee relaxed singer, young Owen is, I hope he manages to hang on to what he's got. I don't usually like seeing kids being pushed into the spotlight, it can be a recipe for disaster.
Although a few notable exceptions, Ricky Skaggs, Lee Ann Rimes and Shirley Temple.

Richard Nelson is incredibly tasteful.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.
