Buck Reid - Alabama Jubilee

Here is a clip of Buck playing his party piece finale, show stopper, whatever - ALABAMA JUBILEE. The drums overpower him a little, but who cares - this is just amazing. Not quite up to his stupendous version that he did on day 2 of the Irish Steel Fest a few years ago, but almost as good. Hold on to your seats.

Ken I was fortunate enough to witness day two of the Irish Festival when Buck blew the minds of everyone there, but I cannot help thinking the brand of guitar he is playing in this clip helped him slightly.
Just saying, that's all

Asleep at the steel

Hahaha.  Buck gave me a tip a year ago Willie. He said "Ken - if you can't afford a really great pedal steel, buy a Mullen!"

Not really. :D I must admit to being surprised when he decided to fly the Mullen flag when he had been so delighted with the superb Infinity that he had especially built for him by Frank Carter. I suspect he was probably made an offer he couldn't refuse by Mullen, but I will get the lowdown from Buck when I see him next.
