PSG Parts... Refurbished / Replaced/ New

Postby bob adams » Mon Nov 14, 2016 11:11 pm

Those of you at the ISGF have seen this case already ... I'm only now getting round to putting it on here.... Most items are self explanatory to players.

Gen info:

Cast Bud parts replaced in solid aluminium.

Levers are aluminium, bellcrank/pullers are steel with a row of both size holes to fit either sized pull rod.

Changer fingers are polished stainless.. three up two down!

Nut rollers (for now) are a work in progress.. but coming soon!

Those little hard to find 'e'clips fit LeGrande and I am told (by Ted) Rains!

Pull and pedal rods.. generally stainless..

Springs are: Push Pull lower tension, Sho-Bud / PP pedal return, GFI and others! reduced cone style. Williams crank retainer.. in fact any spring can be reproduced to sample.

The only items considered to be stock would be the fretboards, they are 'direct replacement' quality and are silk screened for me by the people who produce the plates on all Marshall amps Globally!

This work is technically not my 'day job' and therefore done time permitting ....... so requirement and pricing by pm only.

None of this is profit making.. it is simply a labour of love as this damn instrument is 'it seems' in my DNA.

Those old Shobuds were a product of evolution having gone through the rack and rattle stage and moved on by the time they got to the Pro range and the LDG they had just about got it right in the design then they had to bollx it all up with the monkey metal parts, those number crunchers got a lot to answer for!
But now with Bob's passion and faulty DNA :D they will live on and be better for it. Beautiful work Bob well done..

I've just unlocked this as it seems it was locked accidentally somehow...just in case anyone was wondering!

Bob - you need an e-Commerce site to take orders for this stuff ;)

Alas Danny, since I am three weeks away from that 'ripe old age' I won't even make the dole Q never mind the Bond Q .. shame, some of his 'fringed benefits' are quite tasty!

More 'e by gum' than e commerce Marc, not enough hours in the day, what with my current 'side kick,' consuming rather a lot of my time!
(my old chap is 95yrs for those who don't know)and is presently my shadow!

Jim Sharp is going to be guitar-less next week Danny (though he doesn't know it yet) as I'm just going to bring his Marlen! Now playing like butter!

Donny I've emailed you the link for the case, it's the one I usually have my gun in on Tuesdays in case Malc or Billy show up at Gartcosh!

Beautiful work Bob, the spare parts department for these guitars appears to be lacking in this country and postage and duty from the States can only get heavier.

Best regards
