The man behind that project is Tom Bradshaw. Tom has sunk and and lost a load of his own money into steel guitar ventures such as the record club over the years. Tommy is one of the good guys on the steel guitar scene, and I worked closely with him when he built me a Webb 614E Bradshaw special amp. (Again at a loss). He is evidence that the steel guitar market is a relatively small one. Some of those albums are re-issues but some were completely funded by Tom, and studio recording time is and was expensive.

I must investigate the reissues, Xmas is coming and I really don't want to expand my sock collection.
Sad to hear that Tom Bradshaw lost out with his endeavours. Recording these albums in the 70's must've been astronomically expensive.

Yes, Tom ran a steel guitar magazine for a while, but the astronomical cost forced him to stop. His last venture was a Dobro simulator marketed through MXR. As Dobro sims go, it's probably the best out there.
