Now all I have to do is try to figure out how to use it! Has anyone got any BIAB files for me to load up and see what's in them? That would give me a start then I could figure out how to do it myself

John Davis has a good selection - pm him and he'll be happy to help, I'm sure.

You'll find a few "Tutorials" have been installed under the main folder ("bb").
There's also a wealth of videos on PSG's website, as well as on YouTube.
If you know basic chords of a tune you know, just enter them on the main page.
BiaB also has some nice PSG RealTracks.
I agree that you need a bit of time to get used to all the features of BiaB - much like learning the play PSG !!

You need to change your perception of BIAB, for instance "when you say see what's in them?" there is nothing in them except intructions: Instructions to the computer to pay certain files a certain way.
One of the best ways to find out how to do anything is by playing the demos, and the BEST way to do this is as follows.
1/. Open a blank song
2/. Click on the tab Style
3/. A window opens and select your preference, for this example <Country[RealStyles]>
4. Select the style in the next column
5/. Then click the button to the upper right called <Song Demo>
Then bottom right <OK>

Now find a style that's like what you want and then modify it, like this:
1/. Select the instrument to change here
2./ Upon a right click you get this dropdown menu
3/. Select The top line <Choose RealTracks etc>
4/. In the box <Filter By> I've typed what I want (Acoustic Guitar) and clicked <Update>

Now to get really smart, go back to the select instrument bit and select the next one along, that would be the button <Strings>
And go through the whole process again selecting and loading the same guitar.
THEN open the mixer
And then select <Volume> and putting all the other channels to zero on the Volume faders
Finally select <Panning> and put the two guitars on opposite sides
Normally if you have two identical files on left and right they create a centre image. BUT BIAB is very smart and although it's playing the same samples there won't be any phasing because it selects different takes of the same chords for duplicated instruments.. You get two discrete sounding guitars L+R

Admin - could Basil's above posts be saved for posterity? I'm sure lots of members who might miss it this time would benefit that way.

No need Tony, I'll make up a complete post with the whole process explained better, and also post a video showing the modus operandi in realtime..
The business of endings and fading soloists in and out, plus style changes within a song and more will be covered in depth sometime later this week..
