iPhones and amplifiers

Until quite recently I used a Marshall amp through the clean channel for my PSG and used my iPhone to play the music that I was accompanying. Since changing to a Peavey Nashville 112 I find that I am constantly being interrupted by the homing noise from the phone. Why the difference and what can I do about it?

Can't go back to Marshall as traded it in for Nashville! Sound much better with Nashville as long as phone not in same room!

hi John, i rehearse at least once a week with a band, and iphones, in fact any phone, are the scourge of the room for the interference you describe, leave the iphone switched off or in another room and get yourself an ipod or mp3 player to play your backing music, problem solved, you wont get that damned interference, i use my ipod all the time, nil interferum !
